<F3> Rooms
AutoClerk interrupts the current process to let you list available rooms for either checkin, or assigning rooms to reservations.
The first three questions are the most important. What kind of room, how many nights, and do you need a smoking or non-smoking room. The date is used to for assigning rooms into the future, and in an emergency you can request that dirty rooms are also included in the list.
- Display the rooms that are ready for checkin, and does not
display rooms that are already reserved, reducing the possibility
of overrunning a room block.
- Checkin guests. Tag as many rooms as needed. "T" for tag, and "U" for untag. This allows the clerk to indicate that the room is occupied, without making a guest wait while the clerk types the checkin into the computer. If your system has the interface to data capture, it would at this time ask to swipe the credit card.
- Check which rooms can be reserved at any day in the future.
The following is the list of rooms displayed choosing all clean rooms regardless of room type or whether they are smoking or not:
Tagging allows for a rapid check in without running the risk of double renting the same room.
With AutoClerk's interface to Data Capture (Credit Card Processing), AutoClerk automatically knows how much to Authorize based on the length of stay and the room type.
During the tagging process, you can also process up to four credit cards on each room, just in case you have an unannounced group check in.
AutoClerk severely reduces the steps to verify a credit card.
When the Credit Card swipe can not read the magnetic strip, AutoClerk supports the manual entry of the Credit Card Information.
