Microsoft included "Print Screen" in MS-DOS. This feature was discontinued and is not supported in any version of Windows unless it is a DOS program that is running.
In other words, if you are running a DOS program under Windows (any version), "Print Screen" will work. If you are running a true Windows program, "Print Screen" no longer works.
Most AutoClerk users used "Print Screen" in order to print a copy of a reservation. AutoClerk 2 (Windows version) has a letter of confirmation that can be used to give the effect of printing a copy of the reservation. Contact AutoClerk support (925-284-1005) to have this installed during normal business hours M-F 9am-5pm PST.
A company has come out with a program that can be used by anyone at no cost to allow windows programs to be able to print out what is on the screen. This is much slower and will used up your ribbon or ink/toner cartridge more quickly than the DOS "Print Screen" as it must paint a copy of the screen on the printer, but it will print a copy of any screen in AutoClerk 2.
Printkey can be downloaded here. It also includes a readme file, which tells you how to install the program.
