About Our Vision:
We build mission-critical and user-friendly software for hospitality communities. Our customers are supported 24/7 by our courteous and dedicated staff, all with hands-on professional experience in the hospitality industry. About Our Company: Our Property Management System (PMS) product lines, AutoClerk® and Lodgical Solution®, have been serving hoteliers since the 1980′s. Our travel portal, InnLine, has been in use by room aggregators and on-line travel agencies since 1994, among the earliest products of its kind in the USA. In 2003, we became one of the first PMS companies to launch a successful web-booking tool for hoteliers. Since the earliest years of our business, we continue to maintain active, long-term relationships and memberships in the following hospitality organizations:
Our offices are located in Northern California and Wisconsin. About Our Team: Gary Gibb Gary is a graduate of the University of California San Diego with a degree in Applied Physics & Information Sciences. Prior to founding AutoClerk, he worked as a programmer for the operating systems software company, Network Consulting of Vancouver, BC, Canada, as well as a hotel management company, Thunderbird Management, of Oakland, California. Gary is married, the father of two, and lives in Northern California. His hobbies include rock climbing, skiing, and yoga. Greg Swain Greg is a graduate of the University Wisconsin with degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science. In the 1980′s, while involved with his family’s hotel, he founded Bay Lakes Information Systems. This company has been primarily focused in the hospitality and tourism industry, but notably, also developed one of the first PC ambulance-based software packages. Greg is married, the father of two, and lives in Wisconsin. Active in his community, he is a member of the local Fire, Rescue and EMS services. His hobbies include boating, camping, hiking and snowmobiling Ed Bear Ed acquired real-world hotel experience as an employee of the Best Western Hotel in Oakland, CA and the Marriott Hotel in Berkeley, CA, and was also an independent Support Services Contractor for a PMS start-up. He chaired the CLIA Associate (Vendor) Member Committee for five years, co-chaired the CLIA Internet and Automation Committee for five years, was the 2001 recipient of the CLIA Presidents Award, served on both the CH&LA board and conference committee for six years respectively, and was elected to the ABVI Advisory Board in both 2008 and 2010. Ed is married, the father of two, and lives in Northern California. His hobbies include hiking, water polo, gardening and canning. Kevin Koehne A graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Regional Analysis/Mathematics, Kevin fell in love with software development after writing his first Apple II program in 1980. He has worked for Unisys Corporation, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other banking institutions. He joined the Bay Lakes Information Systems development team in 2010, and has a talent for creating time-tested software development techniques and cutting edge user-interfaces. Kevin is married, a father, and lives in Wisconsin. His hobbies include performing as a magician and actor. Justin Borkovetz A graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a double major in Management Information Systems and Operations Management, Justin joined Bay Lakes Information Systems in 2002 and is the primary developer of InnLine. Justin is married and lives in Wisconsin. He enjoys the outdoors as well as playing basketball, golf, and softball. Bill Meakin Bill Meakin holds an MA in Mathematics from Cambridge University, UK. He has worked as a Structural Engineer in the British aircraft industry, as a teacher of Mathematics in Swaziland, and in the computer software industry. He has held many positions, including running his own software business in the UK and serving as Technical Director for MetaComCo plc and President of its US operations in the 1980s. Bill joined AutoClerk in 1997 to develop a seamless port of the AutoClerk PMS from MS-DOS to Windows, and has since adapted the product to meet Best Western’s requirements as well as the PCI standards for secure credit card storage and processing. Favorite computer: IBM 1130. Favorite operating system: CP/M. Favorite computer language: Personal Basic. Charlotte Gibb Charlotte is a graduate of the Academy of Art University with a BA degree in Graphic Design. She was art director for Rogers & Associates Advertising in Oakland, CA before launching her own design firm in 1989. She sold her firm in 2000 to officially become part of the AutoClerk staff, having contributed to the organization since its inception. She now manages the Company’s HR and graphic design needs while driving strategic and financial planning and organizational development. Married to Gary Gibb and the mother of their two sons, Charlotte’s hobbies include gardening, cooking, hiking, yoga, playing guitar and composing music.
